Good morning. How the hell are we feeling here on a Wednesday? Hi. You got one buddy. What are you talking about? Oh, his team got one, LaVar. Yeah. The seas, the gold nights. Yeah. You mean my baby? Yeah, the green nights. Yeah. The green nights. Big, Vegas gold nights guy. I mean, listen up. Austin finally all took was Miami to be favored. Next thing you know, the Celtics came out and actually didn't fold when they were down a deficit at some point during that game. So it's kind of odd considering they were such overwhelming favorites going into the series and yet they're just trying to take these moral victories like, well, when they got down nine or 10, at least they didn't collapse. Just it's nice. I mean, you were calling for Joe Missoula's head. I was not calling for John. I mean, you brought up him getting fired. That was a real possibility and is still a real possibility depending on how this series finishes out. It's always a possibility. Yeah. It's just more of the fact that it wasn't really a talking point, but you felt like it was a talking point, I guess. There's been a lot of speculation that Joe Missoula has there. Yes. And I don't remember any your speculation. I don't refer anybody to lose their job. I never call for jobs. It just wouldn't surprise me if they went in that direction. But again, he was calling for Joe Missoula's job. Listen, I don't recall it. Per like, you know, per se, but I will say, this was a year where you thought that Jalen and and and Tatum would take this team to another level. You know, could they could they conquer the the 76ers? Could they win in a division that has the Milwaukee Bucks? I don't think anybody was really paying attention all that closely to Miami. And it's interesting because Miami is one of those teams. They'll climb up on you and you know, they're grappling type of team. They're gritty. They're tough. They do so many different things so well that you just might not expect. They hit you in your mouth so quickly by the time you figured out you've been punched in your mouth. They got a lead on you. Now, can they overcome a three? You know, three game deficit. Now they have one. Can they so can they overcome the two games and get it back to an even series? You know, I don't know, but I really think that with the type of team that they have and what what the expectation of Boston is, if if they don't if they don't do better than what they're doing right now, I I'm not going to say I don't think that Jonas has some something there. I think that they may get another coach. Well, we talked about the fact that first off, he was not supposed to supposed to be that coach to be true. Right? True. And so it's it's maybe he gets a little bit of a grain of salt with the go along with that. You also have to think about the fact Brad Stevens put him in this position probably because you know, he still can control a lot of the things Joe Missoula does. You know, given as an experience and all that you go and bring in a Mike Bootenholzer or Monty Williams, whoever else do you want to throw in the category, you might not get that. You know, this is a guy that you can probably have a little more involvement in how things are run and what goes on and help shape him as a coach. Whereas you bring a coach, he's got success elsewhere, different experiences. You're going to have to deal with some of that and you might have to compromise. So I do wonder how Brad Stevens and the rest of front office in Boston factors into the decision to move on when I mean, look, again, Boston one last night, I'm more bringing it up to Joe. I mean, we don't have to have a serious number. Yeah, no doubt. No doubt. No doubt. The point is there are potential candidates out there they could look at. I think what's more interesting about it is the fact we've never seen a team come back from a three Oh deficit in the NBA finals and the Boston Celtics, they're channeling the 2004 Boston Red Sox. I'm not sure if you saw some of the stuff out there, but there is the slogan. Don't let us win tonight is what the the Celtics were kind of using as as motivation going into last night's game. Yeah, I mean, you don't want to win win last night because they're going to rip off for a row to go turn the series. You got a rod and a tendon. Derek Jeter was there. A lot of celebrities in South Florida. Brooks Kepka looks like he's been on a four day bender and just is being wheeled around on a gurney to whatever sporting events going on in South Florida. He looks bang up and a half man. He's a P D's. He looks wide eyed. You guys don't follow my golf. I feel like a little little bar and I have a podcast. Yeah. Well, I don't want to go. Don't care about golf. Golf ain't it? That's what that's what that podcast is from the from the rough with Levar and Jonas. The thing you guys don't know is there's actually a sponsor we're talking to you right now. So anyway, oh, I really love golf. Let me tell you something about I love being on the greens. I don't think I don't think you're gonna be doing the live reason. So Miggleson came out, made a comment after Kepka one obviously wins a major and basically touting that this is why the live tour is what's best for professional golfers because they can go enjoy their lives and they can go make a lot of money and they can prepare or have more time to prepare for majors. And honestly, like if Brooks Kepka goes on the PGA tour, he'd be supposed to be in Dallas this week. Yeah. You know, they have the Charles Schwab challenge. They got the Memorial term at the following week. Then they've got the the open after that or the US open after that. It's like, you know, he's not wrong. I mean, these guys are allowed to then go around and kind of parade and have fun because they play less golf to play less events. They're making more money. I mean, there's a lot of truth to what Miggleson has kind of said in regards to a live tour and PGA tour and hence why Brooks Kepka is going on this victory lap if you will around South Florida. Well, first, and I would like to defend again, I like to defend LaBarna here. Now I have LaBarna. I have. Well, listen, you're going to tie it. Don't worry. No one's bringing you guys into to sell this. Come on. Listen, why wouldn't you joking or are you? Sometimes I just don't know between the two of you are joking or you being serious. Here's why I want to defend. I want to try to be serious because they're serious. That's what I said. So I have a US Open 2016 hat like one of those like Tom Kite hats from back in the day he used to wear on the PGA tour and it's from Oakmont in Pennsylvania with LaVara. You know this. It's about 20 minutes outside downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania there. So you know, little US Open 2016 throwback. I mean, so I know what I'm talking about here when it comes to golf and Brooks. There you go. Looks banged all the way up. He need an IV. Yes. He wanted to rejuvenating that IVs. That's all. But celebrate all you want the guy put on a. He's going to be getting an IV court side like the next time. Yeah. It would be fun. It would be fun. It would probably offer them in Miami though. Speaking of speaking of getting banged up, Jimmy Butler, Jimmy Buckets after the game, you know, you would think they lose that game by 17 and Boston kind of pulled away late and ran away with it. And really the three ball was the story of the game and also Boston's defense, which decided to show back up in game four of the series. But Jimmy Butler afterwards talked with the media about what's next for the Miami Heat and apparently Brooks kept his kind of rubbing off on some of the members of the heat there. Jimmy, it's only one loss obviously, but is there any concern on your part that this could start to build momentum on the Boston side of things? No. If anything, it'll build momentum for us knowing that we have to play with a lot more energy. And you know, we have to play like our back against the wall. But I think all year long, we've been better than ever to do things the hard way. After a game like this, how do you personally kind of avoid from getting too low yourself? Stay consistent. Do the same thing that I do that we do after every game. We're going to list this in music, you know, we're going to drink some beers back there, but it go have some wine. I don't think that you could just focus on basketball at the time. You have to be able to, you know, get away from the game a little bit. Think about it. But at the end of the day, you fall back on, you know, your habits, how consistent you're going to be in myself and my teammates. We're going to do the same thing. We're going to smile. We're going to be in this thing together like we always are. We're going to go get one on the road. Confidence, man. That Miami confidence throw back a couple of throat bombs. Just, you know, talk about what happened in game four and then move on to the rest. You know, I think it was about they're like, you know, talking about Jimmy Butler's like pre game routine to get all fired up. They're like, yeah, man, sometimes you listen to my Cyrus back there. I heard he was like, I'm Bieber. They're like, it's Rick Ross to the next game. He's like, he's all over the place. He's like, we want to mess with him because he gets fired up no matter what he's listening. So very confident, though. I mean, they're going to go get one on the road and then, you know, we'll see. I think he's my favorite house money right now. I mean, you got one more game. You got one more game that where you can be entirely positive. Like this game, this next game, you can be entirely positive because if they win, they still only have two wins in the series. Now, while that might be stressful and it might have an impact and a bearing on how you interview after they want to a two straight games. The idea of thinking that a team can run off four straight. I mean, we did just see two sweeps take place, but against the Miami Heat team, the concept of running four games now running three games. I just don't. This, that's highly unlikely. It's highly unlikely. It's unlikely. But the one thing Boston has going for themselves is to the next three are in Boston. So, you know, they've really, they've really got to just hold home court and then they've got to steal game six in Miami, which they just stole one in Miami. So, I mean, it's definitely doesn't seem like based on how the first three games went. Boston would have a shot. But this is Jonas's, you know, childhood team and I'm going to be a good teammate on our show. And so I'm going to try to, you know, give some positive vibes to Jonas to pick him up a little bit. So don't get swept. I've got some positive vibes for one Braden Quinn and one Lovarro Arrington. Okay, Lovarro. We've got ourselves in talking about the Boston Celtics. What would you guys say? Are you hearing Jimmy Butler's comments, how positive they are? They're going to get on the Liverpool post game. Listen to some wail and Jennings or Conway, Twitter, whatever they listen to in the locker room there. What do you think? What do you believe the betting line is for game five of this series back in Boston on Thursday night? What if you had to sell six minus four? All right, Lovarro, what's your guess? Well, my life, I probably say, I don't know. I don't give a damn. Is that your Irish accent? I please do that again. This is my Irish accent, Spreedy. Especially when I've had one or two long eighties. Oh, it's amazing. I ain't my lady. So we're saying it in points. Yeah, like what do you think the spread is? Like, like, who do you think is favored and by how much? I would probably say the Boston Celtics are favored by at least six. Six, really? Brady just said four. Interesting. The betting line for game five at TD Bank North, Boston Garden or whatever the hell they're calling it nowadays is the Boston Celtics minus seven and a half. Wow. Friends of DraftKings. Wow. Right there. I mean, I have to say, first off, Jonas, you like question that with Lovarro I said, if he was almost dead off, I was trying to throw him off a little bit, trying to get him to, why would you do that to your TV? Especially with both of my laddie. Yeah. It's like, we have to do is just sit down at the bar and have a pop or two. But yes, so still the Celtics for inexplicable reason continue to be pretty heavy favorites. You know, most of these games in the playoffs. Speaking of, or can we go to Ireland for the Notre Dame game? I know it's, you know, it's outside your realm there, Lovarro. But that is not outside of my realm. Did you see there's there's going to be, it's going to be the largest group coming from the United States to an international event ever. I want to go. I told you guys, I want to go 1000 people going to Dublin, Ireland over 39,000. I get to do that with Q. Like, come on, I'm there. I said, I go. So that's a talk to Scott and Don, man, we're trying to make it apps. Scott and Don, what else would be in the convention for going to Ireland? Like this. So the London games in the NFL don't try anywhere close to that as far as fans going over because jag, I would think like maybe an Olympic event, you know, especially if it was, you know, talking about Paris or like that, you get a big contingent from the United States or a World Cup, 39,000 over 39,000. That's a lot of it. I mean, their economy is going to get a nice little, little kick, little boost. Yeah, I saw that. I like kept looking at my cuz that and like, wow. And then I was thinking to myself, well, if we don't have things booked by now, it's gonna be tough to find a place to stay when we get to the 30. Yeah, that's true. I mean, it's not like, it's not like Ireland is that heavily populated. And for those who visited there, you know, Dublin obviously is a big city, but then you really got to go across the country to places like Galway or some of the other spots before you get more densely populated areas. It's a lot of open space. I mean, at this point, we can be staying out on a farm with like, I don't know, literally like in a barn with some goats at that work. That's all I need. What they have a barn called Orkits of Asia and one of those places. I don't think that's when they're broke of the cows. I don't think that's what they're meeting or the who's next step right up to the stable. Just go over there to that barn right there, Lattie. It's cold or kids of Asia. It is. Yeah, I mean, like, if we were to pull that off, a little, go ahead. Oh, definitely go. By the way, I know Lavar is in because I feel like he likes traveling like that. Jonas, I suspect. So suspect on that. I'd be at that. We could find one pub. We don't have to go pub crawling or hopping. We find one and hang out and sing and do it every single day. By the way, I have seen Navy. I have seen Navy in person before when they took on Hawaii at the great Aloha Stadium, which is being ripped down in like 20 minutes or something like that. But so I have seen Navy play before. So listen, let's make this happen. That'd be fun. A little Navy know that I can already tell you right now, Jonas is excuse and lead duck is what catches stray. It's he's going to say like I have to stay back with Lee because Lee and Ireland is just a bad combination. I mean, and I'm certain that they would start a GoFundMe fun to get taught over there exactly with his double sided lightsaber. Let me tell you something right now. You guys keep this up. Not only will I go. I'll take Navy plus 21 right now on draft games. Oh, I'll piss off the lines already out. Yeah, the lines already out line is out. Yeah, I'll take that bet plus 21. I'm going to take that one. Yeah, so there it is. Yeah, it is two pros. They come to Joe here on Fox Sports Radio, it's a bar area, 10 Brady Quinn, Jonah, Sox, and go Irish. Somebody with Hall of Fame credentials in the NFL is making a return. We'll give you all the details on that again. 20 minutes from now here on FSR, but speaking of somebody with Hall of Fame credentials, man, things are off to a rocky start for Aaron Rodgers, the brand new quarterback of the New York Jets suffered a minor calf strain at Jets voluntary workouts. Now they don't want to be anything serious, but I'm assuming if everything goes smoothly, he should be ready for week one. So that is that is my prognosis here in case you guys are wondering how I feel like this is going to go with a cash and set with somebody with no caps. I know exactly how to handle certain calf strains. I was just going to say does Rogers kind of has some big caps? He does. He's got some meaty calves. What's that now? Slimming those things down so they have to worry about strain anything. What is that about? Why is calves so big? What do you do? No, I mean, I mean, what do calves even do? I mean, it's seriously. Yeah, it's true. It's like, like the pinky toe. LaVar, do you have big calves? No, like, I just don't understand. I'm in the Jonas, uh, leg, you know, leg. I don't have big calves. I had to coach my freshman year of high school, tell me that I needed to like get bigger calves to be faster. I go, I've seen a thousand fast people, no, none of them have big calves. Like, in fact, the only people I see who are slow, like the one common threat is they have big calves. Like, why do I want big calves? What's that going to do? There's some fast dudes with super, super big calves. It's, it's the ankle. It's the ankle. Well, there's been some, some, I mean, the first name that comes to mind when I think of big calves is, is well, uh, Kajana Carter. I mean, he has got big calves crazy big. I'll tell you, he's abs. Dural green has big, like, Dural green is. Do I look up Dural green? He was skinny. He didn't have bowling ball calves. No way. Bowling balls. Yeah, I mean, there are some guys that have big calves. Like, do you want to Carter does have big calves? Crazy big. He lives near me. I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go pop by his house today. I bet you they're still big today. Like, go to his house, my son is door and be like, Kajana, I just came in just, LaVara said we are, and I just need to see what your calves look like. Cause I hear they're like pretty, like discussion, like we discussed them on the show. Yeah, he's got big calves, man. There are some dudes that have really, really big calves that are really, really fast, but the one Dural green had big calves. Oh yeah. He's too skinny. Oh yeah. Or he's too skinny. All calves. No, no, no upper body. Nothing else. Just all calves. That's why he's so, I mean, they, they don't have scari calves. You've got very, very big calves. Dural green, you know, and that was the truth. I'm not seeing big calves on him. Yeah. Bro, ginormous calves for, for his size, like in scale, his calves are, are big. They're super big. But they have little ankles. That's the thing. I've never seen somebody with big calves and big ankles be fast. Now, if you could show me somebody with big, big knees and big, big ankles to go with those calves, I say you're, you're a lie. Now, now you've gone down the road of Clydesdale. Kajana's got, it got a milk gallons for calves. I mean, these are, like they're monsters. Yeah. So that makes sense. You were right. I mean, there's a few guys that they have fetish at this point. Well, now I've got to like clear some search history because I'm looking at like my last two searches were a Kijana Carter's legs and Dural green's legs. Yeah. So then now you're, you're a firewall. You're firewall is just jumping at you right now. You know, I just said an alarm off somewhere or something to get to the serious point of this, though. This is like the Jets worst nightmare is an injury to Aaron Rodgers, right? He's an older veteran player. They gave up all this draft capital go get him. And then he can't even be a part of the season because he gets injured, which, look, again, there's a higher chance of that happening. This is not that injury, but it does, it does bring about those fears. And I would still always go back to this because you guys know how this works. There were probably most people who were really excited about the trade fair and Rodgers. There might be a few Jets fans that weren't. And they're like, Oh, we could have gotten this with that draft capital and why we, you know, there is always those guys that are that are part of that fan base. Those people are idiots. Well, there were a ton of that. We'll send apologies to, right? They're going to use this moment to be like, see, I told you so like we're now now we're down draft capital. And then he's not even going to be able to play and make the season and stay healthy. They're going to use that. I still would have go back to this. If you look at, because Robert Salah said this yesterday, there's six to eight teams he feels like have a legit shadow winning a Super Bowl. Would you not count the New York Jets as one of them? Yes. Okay. If they didn't make the move for Aaron Rodgers, they're not a part of that conversation. True. But they are now and just to have a chance and actually to be a legitimate contender, it was worth the risk. It was worth the risk of whatever comes with it for this season, the next year, maybe a third year, however long this whole thing goes. So I know it probably freaks some people out a little bit, but he looks fine. He was out on the field smiling, talking to Daniel Hackett, a part of the OTA practice. And by the way, it's a good thing to see him, you know, there in the offices, a part of the OTA practices. Some that wasn't the case in Green Bay. So who was taking the starter snaps while Aaron was in the locker room and while Aaron will be out. I'm glad you're Browning Nagle. That's very interesting. They went back in time and just said, you know what, let's get somebody else in there. Cause you know, we're tired of Zach Wilson getting ripped for every little thing. And list, that's why I said Aaron Rodgers is empty. So he's not going to get ripped for not taking startups reps after Aaron Rodgers goes out. It's the honeymoon phase. They just got a new quarterback. So everybody'll let Zach Wilson get a pass. But that's why I said Aaron could go so bad so quickly. Aaron Rodgers is MVP to me feels like a no brainer. If they improve the way Robert Salas talking about them improving, how the hell if it's all about narrative and storyline to back up who wins the MVP, how is Rogers not clearly atop the list? Like who else would be in the conversation? I would just have to say after only missing last year as the MVP over the last three years and then now heading into the fourth season, it would just be difficult for him to overcome the color barrier to actually become an MVP for a third time in four years. What do you mean by that? Just saying. What do you mean by that? Well, you know, just saying isn't isn't his name Joker Rodgers? Yeah, that's well, that's a good point. I was just cross sport referencing. That's all I was trying to make a joke. Yeah, it is NBA playoff season. It is. It is. You know, we just thought I make a joke. Now do you guys like maybe it wasn't good? You guys tell me this is this is the fun part of the show where we get to kill some dreams. All right, because who doesn't like doing that on a fine Wednesday morning in May. Let's go. Let's do it on a home day for, you know, a long wait for the NBA finals. So let's go ahead. Let's let's tell certain fan bases out there whether or not their team, if Robert Salas correct six to eight teams are legitimate Super Bowl contenders, we get to kill some hopes and dreams and tell people whose teams are not so cool contenders. All right, so well, we start off this way. Yes. Name the teams in the NFC. Oh, geez. All right. So you want to start from the bottom or you start from the top. You know, name the legitimate teams. You can sit or a Super Bowl contender in the NFC. According to the betting odds. Okay, I'm asking you though, we can use that as a back reference. Eagles. Niners. Maybe Dallas. That's crazy. Eagles. Niners. That ends there. And the Niners have a quarterback situation that will hopefully talk about it at some point, but even that's in question. But it's that fair. You essentially have two teams. You feel like are pretty much legitimate shots. Right. Yes. Okay. Lebarr, you good with that? I mean, I'm not a, I'm not a believer in, and 40, the 49ers with the quarterback situation. I'm not because I watch Jimmy Garoppolo have to come in and kind of save, like, save a season that seemed to be like kind of slipping away. Now Brock Purdy did well, but Brock Purdy is not starting and I just don't, I don't know. I'm not a, if, if John Lynch is saying that Purdy would be starting, if, if he were healthy, that gives me zero confidence that Trey Lance is going to be able to lead this team until Brock Purdy gets back. So what does that look like? So I don't, I don't consider the 49ers. I just, I look at the Eagles as the only Super Bowl contending team. I don't know. It's crazy because every time you want to say Dallas, you want to say Dallas should be a Super Bowl contender, but Dallas does the same thing every year that Dallas has got better. It'd be like saying, saying Washington, like, it's, they do the same thing every year. They, they sure change you. Dallas has got better Super Bowl odds in both the Jets and the Ravens. Now a lot of that could be the path and it not being difficult for them, but Dallas is still one of those, according to the betting odds, top six teams with the Jets and the Ravens. But that's, that's also a, but, but that's a misnomer because that's also money that comes in on the Dallas Cowboys. Are you saying they have a loyal fan base who are? I did. You got a fan base that likes the bed on the Super Bowl. I mean, that's just the truth. I wonder how much you spent, if you're a Dallas fan, that bet. How much money have you spent being able to say, I told you so. And when you finally win, how much have you have really won? Oh, not as much. What, what is the margin between all the years that you bet versus, you know, when you finally won it, when you bet it? I wonder if you even made a profit. No, he didn't. He definitely did not. But yeah, so we've got Kansas City, Philly, Buffalo, San Fran, Cincinnati, Dallas, the Jets and the Ravens of that top eight. Like those are the eight teams right now. And just below those would be the lions, the dolphins, the jags and the chargers. So he's right. I mean, there are, you know, that six to eight group feels like the right group. But if we really wanted to weed it down and narrow it down, it feels kind of like a four team race. Like there's about four. No, I'd say it's six. I'm going to go five. Kansas City, Buffalo, since you got those three, I think you'd say for sure. I'll throw the jets in there now with obviously Rogers. That's four. You got Philly from the other side is five. And I still think Baltimore could be a potential contender, which kind of gets you that six number. I'm out. You had on Baltimore? I'm out on Baltimore. Why? They they boned me so bad this past year. I had them go into the Super Bowl. You know, they fell off to the day. They fell off the face of the planet this past season. Like, I don't know. There's something that is missing in Baltimore. And I know that they had a pretty decent off season. They brought in some receiving talent. I don't I don't feel like to get excited over OBJ being in Baltimore to me is that's that's misplaced confidence and hope in my opinion at this point. Yes. I got six flowers though, man. I'm telling you. They flowers. I mean, game breaker. Yeah. He is nice. And he definitely is nice. And he he does have like that that game breaking that game breaking type of of play making ability and could be like one that turns into like that tight tie, rekill type where you can move around in the space and when Lamar is moving around, he's moving around and gets lost and the defenses and then can run away from I like I like the moves they made. I'm just not a I'm just not a believer in them right now. You got to see it. Yeah, I'm not I'm just not an all the way believer in and I'm not going to believe in Niners. I'm not going to believe in Baltimore and I'm I'm not going to. I'm not if this was really believe it or not, you got to see it to believe it. Is that what you're saying? Yes. Yes. Come on. Like, let let let them make it up to you. They're 20 to one right now. Come on. Oh, no. Let them make it up to you. No. No. Come on. Do me bad. Once shame on you. Do me bad twice shame on me. No, I will not. I will not. Baltimore has violated my trust for them. Oh, I'll say this head to head. Who would you take Baltimore or Dallas as they're playing each other? You know, that's a really, really strong question you posed there. Today, I would probably take I would probably take Dallas to win that game. See, I would take Dallas to win that game. I just think I take Lamar in those scenarios. I think he's so tough to stop. So tough to game plan for. I think that that's a good matchup for for Baltimore in terms of what the defense would be able to do. That defense has a good enough personnel to to be a problem for for Lamar. Yeah. I think he I think that defense is good enough where they would be the difference in the game. Like they would give they would give they would give the Cowboys offense more of an opportunity than than a lot of other teams. Yeah, just to keep up the conversation though, because because we did start off talking about Aaron Rodgers, Caves truth. I mean, again, I think that's that should be the concern for the Jets. If they can't get those calves smaller before the start of the season, this is a concern moving forward. Yeah, is Aaron Rodgers tweaking those calves because they're so damn big. I mean, I'd like to buy 20% of his calves. If that's I mean slim fast for calves. Yeah. Can you get a calf reduction? Is that possible? I mean, we've gotten breast reductions and other reductions, right? You can obviously get lipo and suck out fat. Can you suck out some of that calf? That's two that's two new shirts. We got calf calf fast and and and we have massage Watson. Well, that's that's a good one. That is a good one. Calf reduction was the one I was going for. Yeah. Yeah. Calf reduction. That's a good one. A lot of, a lot of disagreements about how much of the team he does own. He sometimes says he's the sole owner, sometimes says he doesn't own it at all. Hmm. Well, that's odd. I know they were having some payment issues, which they they blamed on a transition and payroll companies, which is legitimate that can't happen sometimes, but given his track record, I don't know that anyone believes it. Yeah, apparently not. This is fun. Yeah. Well, listen to me. I'm sure. Although I'll say this, if you live in Albany and you listen to the spine program, why not? Why wouldn't you get out there?
