I was in the 412 yesterday all up in the 412 I went saw my old house. I hadn't seen where I grew up and many many many years man So that was really cool go I I got a couple I got my business partners with me and we I showed them where my parents grew up Where my mom my dad grew up I showed them where I grew up. We went got some haircuts. It was good. It was a cool day It was a really really really cool day. I try and in fact um I had to hold back tears man, you know Like I almost but I did not have my mom here in Pennsylvania to to you know run up to and oh geez jumping to her arms You know let it go but I did get a hold still doing that. Yeah, I definitely did get a motion Hey, you know why I was thinking about with this lane kiffin thing by the way Where were the parents? Do we know where the parents were in all of this No, no Doesn't talk about in the article That would be I think that would be a very important piece of information too But yeah, I got a little emotional when I was here and then it was it was pretty cool man. I had found out that a couple of Dudes that I was really really cool with growing up they had passed away and it was uh It was a sobering moment because they were they're literally only like one or two years older than me So it was uh heavy heavy not kept it was pretty heavy. Yeah, it was pretty heavy man So but it was it was cool, you know, we were reliving Moments and and talking about you know the past and But yeah, it was cool. It's cool being back home. It's always cool coming back home How'd you just find out that they passed? All right, so you do you have friends that you grew up with that you were really close with but like You lost contact with them after you left that school like say it was grade school You were really close to somebody in grade school But then you kind of lost contact with them because well you went to middle school and then you lost contact with somebody You know some of your friends that you were with when you went to high school and then so on and so forth You know, I don't I don't really have Friends that I keep up with that we're we talk on a daily basis and we're really close. I'm really close with from from high school to Middle school to grade school So but I'm still close with my barber And I see like you know Parents and stuff like that. So when I went to Dave's size out the days bar. So I went to Dave's yesterday When you go to Dave's, you know, the old heads are always in there and one of my old hits that you know Rollo that that I'm always around police officers used to be a police officer As I was asking I was like, you know how's how's Daryl doing dada dada is like man Daryl passed away six years ago, man And it just that like I was like man Like it just you know, and then I asked about another another dude that was like a hero to me On the youth basketball team And he had passed away too. So it was you know, and it wasn't due to violence or anything like that But it was you know, you one had passed away of a heart attack And it was just it was a sobering thought man to think that somebody my age That I was super cool would have passed away and had passed away out of a heart attack. So, you know That's how I found out dogs in the barber shop dude I don't know if I like because of when I was young. I lost some grandparents when I was young And the bone thugs in harmony like see it the crossroads like always plays my head when people start talking about People dying. Oh, yeah, I don't know why but like It always plays my head when people start talking about What's that and it's a real it's a real relevant. It's a real relevant song though, too, you know Yeah, you start thinking about I'm gonna see if the cross I mean am I gonna see him at the crossroad? Yeah Yeah You know what this is first body when somebody dies first song. I think of this. That's for sure I mean is that I mean I'd love one of the same page. Yes I'm on the same page as you cue Jonas is is joning is what he's doing well I just you know, I travel light, you know The people in my life that are important to me. I keep them close. We talk often we talk frequently Yeah, I'll be honest with you man like I feel like I've got some the people obviously you grew up with like that But then they kind of just become more like acquaintances as you grow apart. Yeah, you know, I don't know how you categorize people like that Like childhood friends Yeah, I don't have what I don't really have best friends. I don't have best friends Well, I know you got no new friends. I know you're definitely don't have really no new friends. Yeah Right Yeah, I don't know You know, I think uh, you know, I think it's important that You know, you keep people close to you that are the ones that are meant to be close and everybody else screw them Yeah, that's why I don't really subscribe. I don't really subscribe to that But I could dig what you're saying though. This amount of travel light, you know Everything's carry on for me. I'm not checking bags in. You know what I mean Brady? Not about that check bag life Not even close. I don't really know what the hell that means, but He's he's trying because I always give him a hard time because he's the worst You don't check your bag. Yeah, no hell no, I don't check my bag. You're on top of that Jonas never check my bag since you like you know He can't read signs. He doesn't know where bathrooms are. He's like I need to get this. I need this Like he always needs something. Yeah, I'm like dude Just figure it out. Like be an adult. Get to your get to the plane on time. Get your like just figure it out Like but the thing is if I needed something But no and you can you can mock the way I talk here and you can do that if you want to do it Why are you are just mocking me for having friends? No, I mean that I'm not like That I'm not close with through the years I don't call him a friend It's not listen. I just think that if their friends, you know There wouldn't be a six-year gap in the conversation like that. That's the way I look at it Bruh, I don't talk like so you don't have people that you were cool with that that you would consider a friend like if I saw I give them a hug and it's like great to see you man How you been house like doing and you don't talk like you don't talk to them. Oh, no got to get away from me Yeah, like I don't know you anymore Like you Yeah, but you spent a lot of time in the east coast now you live in the west coast like the time difference In the in the distance away from certain people like you're naturally going to grow apart That's why like when you talk about long distance relationships that stuff never works Like eventually someone's got to move like someone's got to make that like you just you can't make that work With between two people. It's hard to make that work with friendships like you start being three hours different time difference It never times up. I I worry about my family and my business during the course of a day Family and business during the course of a day and like if if you're not within my family circle And if something were to happen to you. I would have no way of knowing. I wouldn't know I wouldn't know like unless I'm like I didn't say they were like I was close close like we talked every single day And we spent the night at each other's homes all the time and this time the other I said they were friends Like I grew up around them. We grew up around each other and we were friends like we were You know, so then you see somebody you ask about oh, how's my boy doing? Da da da this that another and that was what I got Like yeah, nothing to do with carrying luggage and checking it in and carrying light luggage and that was If I ain't talk to a room and all that like that's a whole lot That's but that was my point like you know I travel light so light that if I'm going to get to some place I'm not flying there I'm going to drive and I'm probably going to do it on some tire rack tires and we are broadcasting live from the tire rack comm studios tire rack.com will help you get there and unmatched selection fast-re-shipping free road has protection over 10,000 recommended installers tire rack.com the way tire buying should be I guess if I was if I was like emotionally sensitive Jonas I might have started crying right now because I feel like you're attacking me. Would you would you've jumped to my arms? I feel like I feel like I might have had to disappear on our show for at least three weeks and let you all know that I did not want to speak with y'all Because I'm dealing with emotional and mental health issues based upon the way you just treated. Well, that's that's a great call We can't lane Can somebody explain to be Why a player in the NFL was find $50,000 for allegedly faking a concussion Like I'm really confused by this because JC treter sent out this message yesterday saying a player was was told to go down by the medical staff He returned later on in the game and was find $50,000 what what am I missing here? Why is this happening in the NFL 50 grand for this? I mean, I think they don't want people faking injuries But they also don't want them to abuse what is the concussion protocol a slippery slope Gonna ask guys to self-report which in this instance that didn't name the player But they said this is what happened the player came in self-reported went through the concussion protocol And then it was cleared after a couple series to go back in and play and yet he was fine for that so I'm I think you're gonna end up finding more guys not wanting to Tell me one about any issues they're dealing with if that's how you're gonna have to handle it now The final was was eventually rescinded Once they appealed But to go through that process man like to feel like you're doing everything that you're being asked to do in the next week You get a envelope from FedEx sitting here in your locker And you're getting find fifty thousand dollars It's ridiculous man like the NFL the certain things they try to Focus on and harp on with players. It's crazy to me compared to where they're they're I would say their thought process really should be Yeah, that's weird. I'll say this How do you fake a concussion? Because last I checked people don't even really understand how complex The the whole process of a concussion is it's such a broad spectrum of symptoms and things that could come from a A concussed state So how exactly are you considered to be faking it? That's that's kind of that sounds strange to me because if you're saying I'm I'm feeling I don't feel right Like you're gonna determine that okay because you pass concussion protocol or test and you're cleared that You can't feel You can't feel like something isn't right or something isn't correct And if you even if you categorize it as you a person You're not qualified to say yeah, I'm concussed or I'm not So that it comes back to your original point you like if if I feel like I'm having symptoms I can't sleep or I I'm having headaches or whatever it may be And you're concerned about and you think it may be concussion symptoms Why would why would you feel like you have to to not say anything Due to the fact that you might get fine for it you might get in trouble for Like that seems strange to me man. I'll just be honest with you that seems like almost either something is missing from the story or Someone really really grossly handled this incorrectly in terms of you know A player is still supposed to let you know if something doesn't feel right I mean the final that's the point it was rescinded and because the NFL did look back at it and realize okay Well, you know, we'll go ahead and and not find you but the fact that like there was even a temporary thought of We care about concussion protocol. This is important to us. We care about concussions He's following the rules from the medical staff is Brady pointed out and then you know open opens up his locker And he's got a yeah, we're gonna go ahead and take 50 grand off your check. I just don't I don't understand I really don't get it But you know listen to see NFL they throwing something on our lap every single day and then we discuss it and Just go back to watch and football like we did last night, which by the way can I say this did anybody else notice The audition of Jason Kelsey there on Amazon Prime. I mean he was up in the booth without Michaels and Kerr Curbs Street I'm telling you right now. He's great. He's very there Setting him up to be the third guy in that booth next season or there's he's gonna have some involvement there On it on his biweek he shows up to Thursday night football There's gonna be some he's gonna be a part of that broadcast next year. I'm telling you there's some super charismatic dudes man They are some I mean just you got to give them credit. Give them promise that are the best. They know how to communicate offense alignment of the best They are really and some of them more so than than others You know, but yeah, man. It's time for Quinn's wins. Let's go. All right, let's get this thing started. I sit here in Happy Valley State College, Penn State. We're not going to start though, even though that is the early game of the day on Fox at 12 PM. We are going to start in Columbia, Missouri as the number 13 Tennessee volunteers take on the Missouri Tigers number 14 in the rankings. Look, last two years, Tennessee has dominated this matchup, absolutely blowing out the Missouri Tigers. This is a different story though this year. This Missouri team is much better. They've got a balanced attack with Cody straight out the running back spot nearly at the thousand yard mark this season and pretty cook able to impact UT in the vertical passing game. But Josh Hyde put his team. They've been able to find their way this year on the ground. They're the number one rushing offense in the SEC, number one rushed defense as well. We're going to put a lot of pressure on Brady Cook and Mizzou to see if they can throw the football, creates some of the big plays that Tennessee has been known for over the past couple seasons in this matchup. Also, Tennessee getting a number of players back healthy for this matchup. They're blow out over Yukon last week allowed them to rest many of their starters as well. This line is sitting at one and a half points the Tigers, the home underdog. I think this is the year that Mizzou comes close, but not quite enough. You lay the point in the half here with Tennessee. I think they've got too much on both sides of the ball up front creating pressure on Mizzou. Unfortunately for Eli Trinkwoods and crew, it'll be another defeat, but this one, a close one. Let's stay in the SEC and we'll go to another big one down in Athens, Georgia, Ole Mizz. Take it on. The 9-0, number two ranked undefeated bulldogs. And Georgia, even though they've been without Brock Bauer as they've showcased, is still the offensive firepower that we were accustomed to seeing for a team that hasn't lost in three years. In fact, the last head coach in SEC played to beat the bulldogs was Will Muschamp back at South Carolina. Hell yeah. He's now coaching on Georgia's defensive staff. So not necessarily going to share any secrets with Old Lane Kiff and Ole Miss. Even though Ole Miss has been an offensive jug or not, Jackson Dard, Quichon, the running back, Tray Harris, and Bentley at the Y receiver spots, Georgia's has been too much so far this year for most opponents and they will be for Ole Miss. And Brock Bauer's may be back for this one after suffering the high ankle sprain, have the tightrope surgery. There's a thought that he could play either way in Athens, Georgia's a different animal. Play the 11 points with the bulldogs. Next up, a battle at 3.30pm Eastern in the Pac-12 Utah. Headed to Seattle, take on the undefeated number five ranked Washington Huskies and a little different win last week than we're accustomed to seeing over USC. Even though it was Penex through the year, throwing for four touchdown passes, Dylan Johnson and the UW Rush offense went off over 250 yards on the ground and it'll be a different challenge this week, though. Taking on the number one total and scoring defense in the Pac-12 in Utah. This one to me, even though the Huskies are playing at home, feels like it's going to be the type of game where Kyle Woodingham goes in there, slows down the game, ends up trying to control the game, running the football price of Barnes, very capable to have made it some plays in the past game. We've seen this UW defense to give up a number of points 42 last week to USC and Caleb Williams. I like taking Utah on the points here. The eight and a half points that they're getting on the road. I think Utah can keep this one within the number. Washington's played a lot of close games over the course of the last four weeks, too. So even though they're running games getting on tab, the defense still has had a hard time stepping up. And finally, the big one on Fox, number three Michigan undefeated at 9-0 headed to Happy Valley to take on the number 10 Penn State Niteny Lions. And this one a year ago was slated very similar. Michigan was hosting Penn State at that point in time. Penn State was one of the top defenses in the country and gave up almost 340 yards to Donovan Edwards and play Corm alone. I think that rush defense for Penn State will be tested once again. That being said, the difference maker could be drew all or for Penn State who passed for 244 yards and four touchdowns most recently versus Maryland, two very evenly matched teams. And this is one where the spread looks a little bit too big to me. Penn State getting five and a half points at home. This number has actually grown over the course that we could open around four, four and a half, depending on the book you're at. I like taking Penn State and the points here. Michigan's been largely untested this season. In fact, they're margin of victory. The closest is 24 points. That's how dumb the mission has been this year. James McCarty is playing on a different level, playing as a high as a candidate. So it's going to be a tough challenge for Penn State, but take the five and a half points and the Nidley Lions as they've been trying to make a case for getting back into the big 10 race. There it is, baby. That's how it's done. That is how it's done. I'm talking about it. I told you different things. Yeah. Now, um, bad off there's some technical issues over here. Try to do our best with this, you know, this is what we do. We're just trying to, you know, just stay in the fight, stay in the fight. It's a three hour event here on the shows. We just got to stay focused. There's a marathon. It's not a sprint. Now, you mentioned that the line grew to five and a half. Why you want to stay focused on that, John? See, that's $10 right there. There you go. Not a second. Well, you don't even know what I'm finishing with. Okay. Well, I look so, but I'm saying that the line in a lot of places has come back down to four and a half, the lion, the lion has come back down to four and a half. Not seeing that quite as much. Yeah. I'm seeing it, uh, basically everywhere that it's four and a half. Yeah. Yeah. Well, one of y'all I think the great books one is, uh, who is it? And Jonas really doesn't ever refresh some of this stuff. Okay. But a lot of the books are somewhere float between four and a half and five and a half. Depends on where you're looking, but, uh, the one I've most recently looking at, it's up to five and a half and some. Yeah. Well, listen. And what are you looking at, John? I'm looking at four and a half across the board, except for one, except for one spot. There's a five and a half. And that's the one that Hughes looked at. I can promise you, it's, it's, it's not four and a half across the board. Okay. It's irrelevant because here's how it works. We're still going to take money on both sides of the bets. So if you could shop around you, and you like Penn State, obviously you got to take those, you want to take the extra point point a half, you can find it. If not, and you may be like Michigan, you sit there in four and a half, that's not a great number for Michigan either way, but, um, it's, it's a huge, different, different, embedding standards. If you can find a point difference between books. Now let me ask you guys a hypothetical. Let's say, and Levar, I'm just throwing out a hypothetical here. All right. So I'm not looking to get attacked. I'm not saying my name. No, I'm not, that's going to be $10 because you're not looking to get attacked. That's a very strong word. Okay. Well, can we rescind it? Like we do with concussions in the NFL. Like we'll just rescind that. Please. That's another fact. Hold on. Okay. All right. Yeah, but I'm going through a lot. Give me three weeks, and I'll pay you back. Okay. Let me just, let me just say this. What if it kind of looks like it looked against Ohio State? And the offense just can't get it together. It's possible. Okay. So what are we talking about as far as potential changes that could take place in state college? If again, they've got all this talent, but still can't seem to get over the hump and beat the Ohio States and Michigan's of the big 10. I mean, again, I think you have to keep things in a proper perspective. Okay. What are they ranked? What's Michigan ranked? Three. Okay. What was Ohio State? What was Ohio State ranked when we played them? Ooh, they were three. Yeah. What are they ranked now? Number one. Okay. So if you're losing, let's keep this in the proper perspective. If your only two losses are coming to teams that are ranked that high, why did, like, fit you keep working to figure out how you beat them? You don't sit there and go away. If those are the only two teams you're losing to, you don't go away from what got you to a point where which, by the way, was a very competitive game in Columbus. Our offense just couldn't get it going. If they can't get it going against one, like, and let's keep this in mind. The defenses are phenomenal, too. Ohio State's defense phenomenal. Michigan's defense phenomenal. So, I mean, to me, it's like, what are we really talking about here? You know, there are teams that are ranked higher than Penn State right now that have a loss, and it's not even to a ranked team. It's not even to a ranked team. But we lose to a number three ranked team, and we slide in the standings. Like, it's fine that that's how it's being looked at, and that's how it's being rated. I guess, but at the end of the day, I'm not going to sit here and be, like, oh, calling for this person's job and calling for this person's head. And our only two losses a year going, our only loss this year is to a team that's in the top five. Like, come on, man, that's like, let's be real here. I get it. I get it. I mean, I'll say this, though, because you are a Penn State guy and all that. So I can kind of take a different approach to it. I was very frustrated with your offense during that time. I was, too. I mean, I was, too. They started to find their rhythm and flow when they started to go in two minute, allow Drew Aller to throw the football around, start to push the ball more down the field. And I think you see spurts of that. You're solvers Maryland, but you don't see it quite enough. And I think they have the talent to do it. I just think they're resistant to do it from a play calling perspective, because who the OC is and his identity. And I think the thing that concerns me about Penn State and the position that they're in in this case is last year. Penn State's the number one rushed events in the big 10 right now, okay? Last year, I believe going into the game, same thing. They didn't give up more than 119 yards up into that point. They give up 418 to Michigan. They went from one to like sixth in the big 10. Yeah, and my concern is first half. I don't know what happened, what the breakdown was in the second half of that game, because they had a really, they had a strong showing in the first half. Sure, and they've had a strong showing so far this year's, this year as well. I mean, the one team that ran on them, it decent amount was West Virginia to begin the season. And then since then, they really haven't been able to play anyone who could run the football effectively versus them. However, I will say this, I don't know how many teams that they've played so far that you're looking at as one of the top rushing teams. For example, Ohio State is seventh in the big 10 in rushing. So that's arguably, I think you'd say there's been their biggest test so far running the football. Everyone else they've played has been somewhere behind the Maryland, actually rushed for negative yards when you include kind of the sacks and everything else and the way that game went. But my point is this is, that's what concerns me moving forward. I think for Penn State is, I remember watching last year, I thought they were better in the interior in particular, because you had muster for there and it's going to be a big time challenge. I think versus Michigan, and especially the interior of the defense versus the interior of the Michigan offensive line. Like that's where my eyes are going to go. If you get, like I think Penn State's built to be to Ohio State. You've got the edge rushers. You've got the ability to cover down on the outside, to cover the talent that they have. Michigan's a change up to a lot of teams because they'll sit there and say we're not going to get a shootout with you the way you want to. We're just going to methodically pound the ball down your throat. We're going to put multiple tight ends on the field and run the ball and run the ball and run the ball until you can't take it anymore. And it's been effective last few years. I think that plays into this year's team, more so than last year's team. I think that plays into our favor to play against the road. I hope for yourself. I think the difference, I honestly believe the difference in the Ohio State game was the same difference that has been in pretty much every game for Ohio State, which is Marvin Harrison, Jr. He's been the difference. And I don't, I don't see one of those on Michigan's team. So if we stop, they got in the back, that's the difference there in the back field. I think we'll be able to handle that. They don't have somebody. I opens it up to me down. See it. Jason Jr. Does. Well, I guess I see this. Did Michigan have those guys last year on the outside? Yeah. But we didn't have the developed depth of of interior deliming that we do this year. It's different. Like we're, they wore us down, last year, they're not going to wear this team down. This outfit's not going to get worn down by the run. It's too good of a rotation that they have and they're, they're just as good. The second, second guys coming in are just as good as the first ones up front. So I don't see that being, being an issue. They're going to have to prove that. That's, that's how I look at it. That line looks so funky though. I'm going to take the 49ers and lay the points. It doesn't make sense. I know. Shouldn't be that big of a spread. Jags have been good. So the Jags are giving three points in this game. They can lose by three points. They can lose by three, but no more than three. I'm going to take the nineers the cover. Next one up, Browns and Ravens. Ravens coming off a four game winning streak. Ravens are six and a half point favorites at home versus the Browns. Let's take the Browns in this one. God, why am I? Yeah, I'll go ball. I've got the Ravens. I've got the Ravens. Just make sure you got. I got you. Yeah, I'll go ball. Brady, who do you have? The Ravens, yeah. I got Baltimore's ball, too. Which means you guys think that the Ravens are going to cover? Yeah, win by more than six and a half. Yeah, I'll take winner. Saints and Vikings. Saints stand in the way of the Vikings and their fifth straight win. Saints are three point favorites on the road at Minnesota. Take a Minnesota. How does Steven the league? Man, I lost Cam Acres though for the season. I'm a journalist. I'll go ahead and take the points in Minnesota. No, I'm going to take the Saints. Giants said cowboys. Big line here. Cowboys, seven. Cowboys favorites at home. They're the points with the cowboys. 17 points. Yeah. Yeah, now I'm going to take the Giants. All right, last one. Lions at Chargers. Lions, three point favorites on the road. Chargers go bolts. Chargers. Chargers. Take them to the line.
