My name is Shayna and I'm the teacher at Espresso English.

Let's get started with today's lesson.
Today's question. Do we speak with someone or speak to someone?
If we're having a conversation, there's no difference. You can use either one.
I spoke to the manager or I spoke with the manager.
Or we could use talk. Let's talk to the teacher or let's talk with the teacher. These are the same.
The only special situation is when you are giving a speech to an audience.
In this case, we can only use speak to because you are the only one speaking.
For example, I'll be speaking to a group of college students about financial planning.
Hope that helps. Keep following me to learn more.
