Before we get too far, we ran a contest a couple of weeks ago and then we set it again
last episode.
I keep forgetting that this is a bi-weekly podcast.
I keep saying it's not weekly.
You say next week a lot.
You say next week a lot.
Yeah, I do.
And like, next week we're going to do this and like it's not next week, it's two weeks
for now.
We're not going weekly yet.
We're not.
We can't.
We're too busy for things.
Dylan's booked too good.
Yeah.
Book too good.
It's really intense, but we ran a contest, an offer of sorts.
If you went to ApplePod and you left a five star review and you left a review, five star
rating and you left a review.
If you left a review and a five star rating, you could be entered for a giveaway.
We're going to be doing three different giveaways.
Going forward, guys, every episode will have a contest.
So every episode, go to ApplePod, leave us a five star rating and a review of sorts.
We would love it in every episode.
We will go through the reviews and ratings and do a giveaway of sorts.
It won't be, it might not be figures.
It might be certain eight by tens.
It might be autographed memorabilia.
It might literally, what I come up with that week is what we're given.
But this.
It's a Roosevelt shirt every now and then.
It could be a Roosevelt shirt.
That's a great idea.
Guys, and going forward, starting next episode, we've come up with an idea.
Every review and rating, we're going to go through going forward.
And next week, we're going to be giving away two Roosevelt shirts.
Two different winners will win.
Next episode's contest, leave a five star review, leave a review under it.
I keep messing this up, but you know what I'm saying.
And then if we pick you as the winner, reach out to us on social media, tell us your winner
of the contest and we will get your shirt of choosing and size.
Any shirt on the Roosevelt's website is coming your way.
Thank you to our friends at roosevelt's.com.
But this week, thanks to our friends over at ringsidecollectibles.com, use promo code
swaggl, save yourself 10%.
We're going to be doing a review contest and we're going to be announcing our winners.
The first review contest winner takes home, not one, but two, blood and guts figures,
the Dr. Britt Baker, the Thunder Rosa, and our review winner is Fred of the Pod, Matt
Marbury, George.
Tell us what he had to say.
So Matt's review says a unique look into the world of pro wrestling.
I truly enjoy listening to this show every week.
Dylan has a very unique perspective on pro wrestling and the way he tells the stories
will have you legit laughing out loud.
It doesn't matter if he has a guest or not, he and George, the producer, always come up
with interesting topics.
I also enjoy how down to earth Dylan is both figuratively and literally.
And then he wrote, huh, if you're looking for something different from the usual pro
wrestling podcast, or if you just want to support a great human, you should definitely
give going post a shot.
Thank you very much for that review.
Matt, second winner, LOD fan, LOD fan, you're going to be taking home the Mr. T. Ultimate
Edition.
That will be coming your way.
And LOD fan says, hell of a pod.
If you're a fan of wrestling, this pod is deaf for you.
Dylan finds a way to do what he does best, which is entertain.
I 100% agree with that.
And the final review winning today.
Whole Refen show.
You will take home the ringside collectibles exclusive to Maso Champa and the AEW O and
heart figure.
What did he have to say?
Whole Refen show says great show.
After nearly 20 years in the wrestling business, Dylan has managed to keep up his enthusiasm
and love for his profession.
And it shows in this podcast, he's funny, articulate and genuine, a very enjoyable podcast.
Guys, these, these review.
Articulate is a word that I would.
Yeah, sure.
I'm taking that.
By articulate, you mean I make up my own words at least once every episode.
I'm very articulate, as he said.
No, you've you've been better recently.
What you've been doing is that you've been saying the correct word and then going, is
that a word?
Is that right?
Is that the right word?
And then I love that.
And then you say two wrong versions after that.
You're right.
You were right.
You were right.
The first time.
Uh, peek behind the curtain.
We recently recorded an episode of Game Marks and I caught myself doing it at least twice,
maybe three times of just what George said going in my head going.
Oh, no.
Did I just do it again?
Did I just make up another word and then him going, no, no, that's a word.
Good.
George, real quick, going back to the contest.
How can the winners reach out to us?
Uh, yeah, so if you want to reach out to us, uh, that would be for Matt, uh, for whole
reference show and for LOD fan, all you have to do is reach out to us on social media at
going past the pod.
Or if you want to reach out to the man directly and take the line straight to Dylan, you can
reach out to him on all forms of social media at Dylan pastel and, uh, let us know you
one.
I'll get your info.
I will send it straight to you.
All right.
Well, with that Dylan, is it time for us to get into this week's topic?
Are you ready to talk all things impact?
Let's do a deep dive.

Our first appearance in impact is in the Team Apocalipto match in December of 2016 when
you team with Rockstar Spud.
Yeah, so to be honest, I forget how this even came about besides me just getting an email
and going, hey, we want to use you for this crazy, hardy boys.
This was during that time where the stuff was never seen, these pre-recorded kind of
matches.
What are they called?
The cinematic matches?
Yep, that's the word.
Cinematic matches weren't really done.
And the hardy boys, they just final deletion in this Team Apocalipto match and all that
stuff.
They were the innovators of it for sure.
And so I got reached out to and I was like, yeah, of course I'll do it.
This will be amazing.
And I get to team with Spud who like weirdly turned into through social media and medium
just a couple of times turned into a buddy.
And I loved it.
It was so much fun and going into it, I was like, this is going to be a blast.
And then I was like, oh, we're going to be shooting at night.
We're going to have to shoot this whole thing at night.
Here we go.
This is going to be a long, long night.
Yeah.
So in the tag team Apocalipto match, you actually turn on Spud.
And that sets up a little angle that's going to.
Yeah, but during that, again, I don't watch the, as we know, I don't have a good memory.
I don't watch a lot of my things back.
But I feel like he was like pushing and prodding and poking and prodding to have me turn.
So it says, swag will would square off with Lashley and knock himself out after attempting
a spear on Lashley.
That was just a fantastic sentence to read.
That was the Teopocalipto match where they had like a face off.
So I remember I got introduced like a really fun way in that cinematic match.
And it was just a fun thing where I came face to like chest with a biz.
And then Bobby Lashley and I squared off and I ran over right just speared the hell out
of them, but took a face plant.
And it was one of those things where we shot it like five or six times.
And I was like, I was so, I was so like worried about my wrestling gear, getting all muddy
in that that immediately after the shoot, I was like washing off my gear.
So like, this is brand new indie gear that I just got.
I can't have this stuff get ruined already.
But it was fun, man.
I, I really, really loved every bit of that introduction.
And then like you said, it went right to the rock star, Spud stuff and the angle we did
there.
So you end up having a match with Spud where you cause him to quit.
So this is where it gets kind of blurry for me.
Because I guess I did a tag match and a regular match with Spud and a bunch of stuff.
The tag matches after.
So it says, you appear on the January 5th episode of impact where you defeat rock star
Spud causing Spud to quit.
And then on the 19th episode is when you, when you do the tag match.
Okay.
So yeah, all that stuff.
And then it all kind of runs together because we filmed for two days at Universal Studios,
which I always heard about.
I was like, Oh man.
I get to do the universal tapings.
And then I really very quickly realized when I got there, Oh man, I'm doing the universal
tapings.
Cause they're real long days, real long days.
We would film like four to six episodes a day.
I want to say in front of like not wrestling fans, just like people in the universal park.
But I got to go through the universal parks in my off time and just ride rides.
And I was like, this is great.
This is incredible day at the office.
Yeah.
So I think it was that, but it was after that taping.
So I did that taping and then I was going to be flying home and same day flying back
to Orlando because it was landed on his annual trip.
So it was like, I fly home.
I land at 10 a.m.
We leave at like two p.m. and fly to Orlando, back to Orlando.
But I wanted, I didn't want to take them out of so much school, but so then it was nuts.
But during that whole filming, because it was going to, it was supposed to lead to slam
aversary or bound for glory, whatever the big pay per view coming up was, it was supposed
to lead to that.
So we did this whole angle where I jumped, you know, I beat spot or whatever.
Eventually, he gets pissed off at me and he's going to lay me out during that jump on me.
He booted me and he was wearing like dress shoes and the heel of the dress shoe caught
me in my eyebrow.
Ooh.
I've never been hard weight in my life until then.
I've never been getting busted open for real.
And he hard weighed me and I feel the, I mean like wrestlers talk about it all the time
and it's a very cliche statement, but you feel this warm like trickle and I was like,
oh, I'm bleeding.
And then it started coming and I go, oh, I'm bleeding.
And now like, here's how my brain works.
I'm not thinking like this will be great for the show.
I'm thinking, I have to go to Disney.
And this is, I'm going to have a cut in all my Disney pictures.
This is awful.
It's a good story though.
It's a great story, great story.
So I get stitched up and it's common coming.
And then he comes back to me with another boot and he goes, oh my God, I'm so sorry.
Oh, you're bleeding a lot.
And I just kept bleeding.
So I get to the back, I get stitched up.
And that was like one of the last segments of the night.
I think there were like two or three things after.
But as I'm getting geared up, I'm pissed off, whatever, but I'm going to leave and I forget
and I itch my eyebrow a little bit and it busts it open again.
I have to go back, get more stitches and it's, and Karen Jarrett, I remember because I hate
needles.
Karen Jarrett, she's always been like a mom to me.
She's the best.
I love Karen Jarrett.
And she goes, she came rushing right up to me.
She goes, you okay?
She was so worried about me and she was so caring.
And she goes, let's go get stitched up.
I'm going to stip by you.
And she like held my hand as they did all the stitching.
And I said, I hate this.
I hate this.
She goes, you could squeeze my hand as hard as you want.
It's okay.
And she was just the nicest person ever.
And then when I got repusted open, I literally texted her.
It happened again.
She goes, I'll meet you at by the doctor.
And then they did a bunch of glue on there, but it still scarred pretty good to this day.
And it, so then I get the report that's not happening at slam-versary because Spud is
stuck in England.
Oh, yes.
His visa or his green card or whatever it is, he gets stuck over in England.
And now it's like we did all of this for nothing, literally for nothing.
And I'm so pissed.
So then I go, is this even happening?
When's it happening?
So then we find out it's happening on in India for one of their India shows.
Okay.
And I was like, I've never been to India.
This is going to be here we go.
Like I say, we're going to do it in India.
But again, it's like at this studio where it's not wrestling fans.
It's just people, hired audience members, mind you, hired audience members.
And it's such a letdown.
And like we're going to do this huge street fight that we were planning.
Like I was going to get busted open again.
And Spud was too for this big slam versus rematch.
And it's happening in India in front of paid audience members.
And so like all the windows out of our sales.
And it was just the travel sucked there and back.
It just wasn't it was that's the only thing of that first initial run that wasn't enjoyable.
I loved working with Spud.
But that first run was like ruined by that India trip because it was just not fun.
That's a bummer.
I get that and I feel like there's not, I don't know, you probably would be able to
speak better, better to this than I would.
But are there a lot of instances in wrestling aside from like match times being cut or,
you know, you being cut from a card completely where like when gets completely
taken out of your sales before the match even happens.
Like I would imagine afterwards you think you have a great match and then you hear
that it wasn't perceived that well.
But like pre match really, I don't imagine that there's a ton of situations that.
No, I think it's canceled or but nothing like, excuse me, nothing this far out where
I knew it wasn't happening.
And then it was like, when is this happening?
Yeah, so pumped.
I was going to be a main match on slam a verse again.
I could have been slammer's or could have been bound for glory, whatever it was.
I think it's bound for glory.
Oh, for glory.
But whatever it is, I was like, this is going to be great because I get and it's going to
be a street fight.
Like I said, we're going to go all out.
We're going to have this huge, huge street fight and just go crazy.
Essentially, like we want to recreate we all see, but the two of us and go even crazier.
But it just it.
Yeah, I was a window to the sales and then to see that was paid audience members.
It was even kind of worse.
But yeah, I got a, I mean, it got me exposure.
It got seen by another audience and it was working with Sput is the best.
I still to this day love him so much.
He's just he can, whatever he's given, he knocks out of the park in every role he's ever
been given.
That could be a fun person to have on the podcast.
That would be an awesome one to have on the podcast.
He's that we add that to the list.
That's added to the list.
But here, man, he just, he's just a good human and he looked, he doesn't have.
I guess it like he's so easy and okay with being self deprecating.
It makes everything around him fun.
There are some other highlights that I wanted to talk about before we move on to your next
appearance.
Sput, you, there's an instance where you run around the outside of the ring with your pants
around.
You pants, man, I ran right up the ramp and I was like, man, I, I can't have my balls
come out.
I don't know why.
I don't know why.
But the good worry in my mind was I don't, I can't have my balls come out.
That's a good worry to have and probably a, especially because of the right thing to avoid.
It was like park guests, so I could not have my balls come out.
Yeah.
That's, that's, that's all I remember of that is just worrying about a wardrobe malfunction.
And then there's a segment in April of 2017 where you attack Sput with a hammer and which
causes unknown injuries.
And then in April or and then in June, he returns and attacks you with a hammer.
So that's where, that's where the busted open came from.
So he, uh, I hit him with the hammer bang and I kept attacking him with that hammer because
I was like, guys, I don't want to turn heel with this.
That was my worry.
I don't want to be viewed as a heel from attacking him with a hammer and they assured me it wouldn't
be and it didn't.
Okay.
But then he attacked me back and that's when I got busted open from his shoe and then he
had to hit me with a hammer and he hit me really hard with the frickin hammer too.
I remember that right in the knee and I had the shitty knee at the time.
Ooh.
That was like, oh, this sucks.
But okay, I am bleeding as well and that's even worse.
All right.
Well, uh, then you, you go away and you're, you're not in impact for a little bit and
then you pop back up in 2019 and the bound for gold gauntlet match.
Yeah.
Yeah, so this was a, that was in Chicago, I want to say.
And that was bound for glory 2019.
Yeah.
That was a complete Tommy Dreamer booking.
Little park Illinois.
Yep.
Reached out to me and said, uh, hey, you want to do this by the Royal?
It's right in your area.
You could drive down.
We got a spot.
Perfect.
Awesome.
I did a biting the butt spot with Johnny Swinger.
I believe I german him and then everything was going good and it was fun.
I had a really, really fun time and then we had a spot with myself and Raj Singh and
I take a pie face really well, really, really well.
We've talked about that.
I know I do and it's very easy to do.
All you have to do is guide my face.
He didn't guide my face.
He basketballed my head.
Oh, shit.
Immediately I had a concussion.
I went, I hit the mat and everything was ringing and it was a bad one.
I know for sure it was bad and I rolled to the apron and I remember going to one of the
refs.
I go, just hide me for a bit.
I need a second and I was out of it, out of it.
Or it might have been like my elimination.
I just laid on the floor.
But I remember going to a ref and saying, protect me.
I'm out of it.
I need a second.
And I get to the back and Ethan Page walks up to me.
This is the first time that Ethan Page and I really connected as friends.
He walks right up to me and goes, you okay?
I go, nope.
He goes, what's going on?
I said, I saw what happened.
He goes, yeah, because I wasn't supposed to happen like that.
I said, no.
I said, I got basketballed.
Like really bad.
He goes, I said, I'm cost for sure.
For sure.
And then Dreamer came up and he was talking about it with us.
And Raj came to the back and I said, hey man, like that, I know it's a, it's a freak thing.
But that was way too much out there.
And he was very apologetic, very awesome.
And I learned afterwards that Dreamer and Ethan Page had some words with him standing
up for me and saying how it was a little overboard.
It is what it is.
Wrestling crap happens.
But man, I remember driving home that night and during the drive, Dreamer and Page just
like making, calling me every, every hour or so and you're making sure I was okay.
It was just man, it was, I remember like, I specifically remember it had to have been
on the floor specifically remember laying on the outside and going, protect me.
I don't want to move yet.
I was just, I was so pissed.
I was so pissed.
But that was that.
That was the better oil.
I remember that did like a, did something with Jordan Grace as well.
And that was like the start of her kind of like come up in, I guess, where she really
started kind of making a name for herself, not only an impact, but in wrestling in general.
So moving on then in 2020, you make an appearance in the call your shot battle royal.
They're impossible big TNA battle royal guy.
What was that one?
So this is a bound for glory 2020.
You're in the call your shot gauntlet battle royal rhino wins and you are.
This is the one with Hawkins.
Yes.
Okay.
So this is the one where I think Hawkins set it up because he wanted to do it.
Yeah, because that whole, oh man, the mages have told this story.
I'm pretty positive, but Hawkins was his impact at the time and he, he pitched for to work
with me there and I was like, this is going to be great.
I get to work with my best friend on impact wherever comes of it comes of it.
It's going to be a blast.
So we're in this battle royal together and then I was also going to lead to something
with dreamer and Hawkins or coming out of that.
I forget the timeline exactly, but it's leading into that.
Okay.
So during the battle royal, Heath is supposed to win the battle royal on his entrance.
He's so excited.
He tears his quad.
I believe it's his quad.
He's something in his leg and he tears it, getting in the ring and throwing a big crescent
kick.
He's supposed to win this battle royal and he, we, as we know about Heath, Heath loves
to win.
There is nothing that Heath loves more than winning and he tears his quad and cannot win.
And I believe this was in front of no fans, right?
This is 2020.
So yeah.
So this would have been my first, yeah, this October 2020.
Yeah.
This would have been my first like studio wrestling, which is very weird, man.
Looking back on it now, wrestling was in a very weird time.
Like these studio shows and these no audience shows wrestling was very weird to watch.
It's hard to watch back.
I randomly like saw a clip of COVID mania with the, the mania with no fans and it was rough
to watch.
It's really rough.
And it, but it's what we were using that certain level of energy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And just interaction and just people, just seeing people.
But so that's what we, we did that and yeah, I don't really, again, this, these tape, these,
these appearances kind of run together because they're all the same taping and it's all kind
of like one to the next, to the next.
And yeah, it just, no, it makes sense.
They make for long days, but also they're fun because you get it all done.
You get it all done for, you know, two, three months of TV and that is done.
So then like you said, setting up the angle between Tommy dreamer and Brian Myers, you
appear on the October 27th, 2020 episode of impact and you hit Myers with a low blow.
Is this where I used a, I believe I used a tongs on his.
Was it that or did you, is that in the, in the match at turning point?
I don't know.
Cause, cause after this, you have a match with Brian.
Oh no.
The match with dreamer, the match with Brian and dreamer, I used the tongs on Brian's nuts.
Okay.
Okay.
So the match with Brian and the next time we, I sold that in the major pot group, the tongs.
Of course.
Of course.
Did you, did you and Brian both sign it?
And Tommy, I think.
Oh, guys, if you were listening to this podcast and you have the sign tongs from the, the,
the local herd around the world, we need to send us.
I'm winning the tongs.
That is fantastic.
Then we do that.
And then it's going to lead as we know to me and Brian and Brian wanted to like go.
He wanted, you guys got a lot of time for this match.
Yeah.
And I forget how much time we had, but it, you had almost, I think it was like almost
10 minutes.
Yeah.
We are, remember, and we went, we went, went and he pushed me and he kept saying, I don't
want to do your normal match.
Let's do stuff.
Let's actually, actually do stuff.
And I wasn't health wise.
I wasn't at my best then.
It was, it was the degeneration in a different way of, of me, just health wise and physically.
But I'm very, very happy and very, very proud of that match.
It's one of those that sticks out to me to this day as, because he didn't want me to
wear a t-shirt.
And I said, I got to wear it.
So it was his idea for me to wear the singlet top with the pants.
And I was very against it because I was a little thick on top.
And now that's just your look.
And now it's just turned into, that's just me now.
Now you got figures that have that, the singlet is just your look.
The singlet and pants is now me.
And I'm happy that he pushed me to do that because it, it made me confident in myself
more.
He, he put self confidence in it.
I never really thought about that till now.
Like even in the interview that I did with him, you can check out on YouTube or on a
past episode of Small Talk.
We never talked about how we, that, the singlet thing, that's literally was his idea.
He wanted me to do that.
It's pretty awesome.
It's a good friend thing.
But again, like always, I have zero memories of said match besides my gear for the match.
You're nothing else, if not consistent.
So that match is turning point 2020.
And then your next appearance is in November of 2020 when you return as the newest micro
brawler that is available.
Right there.
So this was supposed to happen at the same tapings that the Hawkins match happened.
But literally Ethan Page goes to the ring.
This is that.
Okay.
So the, the day after the turning point match with Brian.
Ethan Page goes to the ring and they're going to play the AJ music with me as AJ.
So like, Hey, do you have AJ gloves?
I said, no, I said, well, Landon has AJ gloves.
I took Landon's AJ gloves and they're like, well, what are you going to wear for pants?
And I said, I don't know.
I have my hoodie and my pants.
Well, you don't have AJ stuff.
I said, no, well, I don't have AJ.
I know.
Have AJ gear made a demo.
Yeah.
So they come out, they like play it and they play the music.
I do the whole entrance and all that.
And they stop it when I'm at the bottom of the ramp and they go, yeah, we're canceling
this.
We're going to do it next episode.
I talk about it on the Ethan Page interview where he double birds the cameras and we both
get to the back and we were both so mad because this was like we waited all day to do this
all day, all day.
That's the only segment either of us had and we went all day to do it and then they cancel
it and they cancel it because they didn't have gear for it.
Well, no shit.
Like we can't just make AJ gear.
So then a couple months later, they say, we're going to do it at these tapings.
We have so then they have made me AJ pants and they found a pretty sure it's off of WWE
shop, the AJ vest or it might have been a little DNA one, but that and I still had my
AJ gloves.
So it was like, okay, this looks a little better.
And again, it was cool for me because again, for impact, I get to work with one of my closest
friends in Ethan Page.
And we knew it was his last thing for impact before he went to AEW and not a lot of people
knew that.
So for us, it was pretty, pretty cool.
And it'd be able to do his last thing.
I know he holds it in regards to because it's with his buddy and it's his last or one of
his last things for impact.
But yeah, microbrawlers in the AJ gear, they are sold out on Pro Wrestling Tees.
You can get signed microbrawlers, AJ Swaggle microbrawlers, 400 sold out pretty instantly,
DylanPostle.com.
They're available on their wall supplies last.
Hell yes.
And with that Dylan.
During the most famous thing in that match is-
Oh, I want to make this a shirt.
That's how badly I want this.
I want to do the split revenue thing where it's on both stores.
I wanted to be on Ethan Page's store and I wanted to be on yours.
A shirt that just says what?
So during the match, I'm bullying him, I'm slapping him, slapping him, slapping him, slapping
him, he pushes me.
And then I'm supposed to tell him to come on.
And again, it's a studio taping.
So there's no fans.
And I don't realize how loud I am, especially with no fans.
And I also don't realize that in wrestling, his name isn't Julian.
It is Ethan Page.
So I go, come on Julian, you son of a bitch.
We get to the back.
And he goes, you called me Julian.
I said, no, I don't think I did.
And then Scott DeMoor comes up and goes, why did you call him Julian?
I go, ha, ha, ha.
Oh, I did.
Because yeah, you called me Julian and then son of a bitch.
So yeah, well, that'll be on the Pro Wrestling Tees page in the future.
Come on Julian, you son of a bitch.
And it, I fully blame it on just being buddies with him and not seeing him has all ego Ethan
Page obviously.
So yeah, it was a, that's easily the most remembered thing.
I didn't Chris.
So good.
I did the Chris Van Vliet interview and I was one of the first things he brought up during
the impact stuff he goes, well, what was going through your head?
Then nothing like usual.
Nothing.
Nothing was going through my head, which by the way, I don't know if you like, if we
have officially plugged it, go listen to Dylan's episode with Chris Van Vliet.
It's a, it's a good listen.
Live your vehicles.
Time.
That's, that's very true.
That is very, very true.
But a good listen, I enjoyed it as someone who's, who's heard most of Dylan's stories.
It was good to hear them again in a different, on a different platform.
So make sure to go and check it out.
And with that Dylan, that brings your impact run to an end as of today.
Okay.
That was what the future may hold.
Who knows.
And that's something that I really look forward to like impact.
They never, just when they start to like plateau, it seems, they hit with something
huge and it's, it's impact has been around for so long now at this point.
It's crazy that it's, it's just how much talent has been in and out of there.
And they're just killing it to still to this day.
That's great.
And I very much agree with you.
And now Dylan, if you're, you'd be so kind as to indulge me, are you, are you willing
to do a hot take this week?
I feel like you, you actually were in a good mood for the most of this episode.
And the very good mood and the reason.
Do you want to do a hot take?
Do you want to skip it?
No, I don't want to skip it.
The reason is, is because I knew for a fact that a hot take would be brought up at the
end of this episode.
And I was like, you know what, I had a very fun impact run.
The only thing negative was the, the India trip.
I'm very, very grateful for my India run, or for my TNA run.
Ah, I didn't want to get too upset.
So George, go ahead.
Okay, here we go.

Wait, if my math is correct, 7 million men carry the two, that's 14 million balls.
All right.
All right, well for those who are not familiar, the hot take of the week is the segment where
Dylan's space to air his grievances about a topic of the general public.
True.
Except sometimes it's, we talk about grilled cheese, sometimes we talk about toast, apparently
strawberry jelly is a topic that Dylan does not like, but we haven't talked about that
one yet.
But today Dylan, you know, it's, it's as this, as this comes out, it is the first week of
May.
Right.
We're on the way into the warmer weather.
Okay.
And what better way to keep your beverage nice?
Oh, fuck you.
Cool.
No, no.
Let's talk about koozies.
I hate cake.
Let's talk about koozies.
I fucking hate can koozies.
No one uses them.
The issue is I have a drawer and it pissed me off the other day.
I have a drawer in my kitchen.
I just don't.
There's got to be 12 or 15 can koozies in this thing.
Why am I a friend of the pod.
Listen to the pod.
He uses can koozies.
I guarantee David see you.
I don't, I don't see why.
And please don't in the comments, please don't say, oh, it keeps your beverage cold.
No shit.
I get it.
But I understand why you get so mad about a beer.
It's, it's, it's, it's stupid.
It's just dumb.
You know how many times George?
I bet I have used a can koozy or a beer koozy less than 10 times in my life.
Easily less than 10 times in my life.
Okay.
It's dumb.
It's just I don't.
And why do people have so many of them?
They come off so cheap and just, I hate them.
I hate them.
Whenever I open this door, it's the same drawer that I have my oven mitts in.
It always gets stuck.
It always gets stuck.
And then I say to myself, what if I throw them away?
I should.
I should throw every can koozy a hell away.
But then I said, why don't we come over and go chicken nugget?
I'd be fully okay with a random logo one, including that.
But I would accept.
But the issue of this is you don't, I don't need these.
I don't, I don't need as many can koozies as I have.
I just don't get why people use them.
Like this is, this is just crazy to me.
This is nuts.
I don't.
I don't.
I just don't get it.
Are you a can drinker or a bottle drinker?
Oh, this did I text you the rankings?
Rankum?
No, for beer, I don't drink beer at all.
I hate, I hate.
I thought you liked sours.
I like sours, but though I hear, I had this.
Yeah, it's a beer, but like regular beer.
I will not like sit outside and just drink a beer.
Like I just won't.
It's gross to me.
But if I do, like one of those like fun beers, I'll pour it in a glass.
Okay.
And then I'll drink it that way.
But if I drink a beer out of a can, I don't use a koozie.
There's no sense to it.
There's no sense to it.
If you need, if you think your beer is going to get to or your beverage, your soda is going
to get too hot, too drink, you are drinking it incredibly slow.
You're yapping too much.
That's the issue.
Well, it also keeps the condensation from...
From what, your hands?
Yeah.
Who cares?
Well, some people don't like it, Dylan.
That's the one.
Listen, koozies were made to solve a problem that a group of people have.
Some people don't care about it.
Some people do.
Some people shouldn't.
They shouldn't.
They shouldn't.
Oh my God.
You just got me fired up more about the condensation on your hands.
Great.
Wipe it on your pant leg even better.
Just go like this.
And now essentially, you're rinsing your hands.
This is...
Oh!
I did not think that koozies were going to get you this hot.
It's stupid.
It makes no sense to me why people love them.
And I guarantee, I hope...
You know what?
Listeners of the pod.
Tag us on social media.
At going pastel pod.
Tag us on...
At Dylan Postle.
And at Dylan Postle.
But I'll see you on...
You see this too.
I'll see you on going pastel pod.
Tag us with your can koozie collection.
I would love to see your can koozie collection.
And I might admit on the next episode that I could be a little incorrect in my statements.
I might.
And if you give me a couple of reasons as to why you enjoy a good can koozie, I might
admit fault in my mindset for this.
Guys, this is a public forum.
It's not just about me and George.
This is about us as a community.
It's a going pastel pod community.
And I am fully willing to admit my faults.
New Leaf Dylan is fully admitting to his faults.
But I don't think I'm wrong.
What was this?
What?
Turning over a new leaf.
I know what it was.
I've just never seen someone actually do a motion with this.
Whatever I say, New Leaf, New Leaf Dylan, I turn over the leaf.
What's going on?
What's going on?
But this is, guys, I'm ready at this point in my life to admit my faults.
If this is one of them, if you can prove that I should be using can koozies or give me
some reasons as to why I should be, I will admit it.
Not only admit it, I will use a can koozie on every future episode of going pastel.
That is my promise to you.
But if you don't sell me on this idea, I have won.
All right, well, you guys heard it.
Let's make Dylan use can koozies for the remainder of this podcast.
But Dylan, that's it for this episode.
Would you like to tell the people what we are doing next week because next week, big,
big interview?
I texted George.
I said it's happening.
I got Kofi.
And my text to them after the interview, this might be my favorite one.
Did you guys go long?
No, so that's a funny thing.
At the end of the interview, he goes, I'm really happy you cut it off because I could
have talked for another two hours.
And we'll be able to do part two, part three.
It was so fun.
There was so many highlights.
It starts like so we have to, you and I are going to have to record the intro to it,
obviously.
Yep.
But there's no intro from Kofi and I.
It starts with him blatantly shitting on me and me just, I literally stopped because
I have to hit record now.
And he just, it was just immediately off to the races and just fun, man.
It was so fun.
And we talk about obviously the Royal Rumble stuff and we talk about riding together.
There's a bunch of stories that I forgot shocking.
I forgot.
And there's a bunch of stuff that we've never talked about in any interview.
So it's really, really cool, man.
It'll be a good listen and a good watch.
I think at one point, spoiler alert, at one point, his son just shows up and sits next
to him for like the last five, 10 minutes of the interview.
I was like, oh, this is great.
And then it's a fun, fun interview.
But like I say, I'm very excited for everyone to listen to it.
And the visuals that I have in mind for this, that I have to talk to my wonderful producer
George about, the visuals I have for this of like little quick additions are going to
be incredible as well.
Well, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for when that one comes out.
And then of course, make sure if Dylan's going to have me splice in some video photo
content as well, make sure to go and check out youtube.com slash Dylan Postle so you
know when that comes out.
I'm going to do the social plugs really quick here that way we can throw to that super lovely
signature sign up that you always do.
You've got at going Postle pod at Dylan Postle.
You've got youtube.com slash Dylan Postle Twitch TV slash Dylan Postle swagel auction.com.
Get yourself a free $10 credit on whatnot.
And of course, if you want to grab yourself some swagel merch, you've got Dylan Postle
dot com going snag some of those AJ swagel microbrawlers.
And then of course, pro wrestling tees dot com slash swagel for all of the podcast shirt
designs as well as all of Dylan's shirt designs.
Guys, we have a lot of fun ideas coming up very soon between merch and products and
episodes.
This is going to be a blast.
Like I'm I'm I get I just I just Bobby Meckling comes to a lot of the A.I.W. shows.
Huge supporter of this pod as well.
He came up with another gift.
I just saw him last weekend and he came up with another gift.
He made a jigsaw and painted wood painted cow chicken nugget piece.
I was like, this is that's fantastic.
It's the coolest.
So stuff like that.
And just the Justin Summers flat out said, when is the Patreon coming?
But it's stuff like that.
You guys always are so awesome about the pod and about everything we do and so supportive.
We appreciate it and it makes it not work.
Yes, we do.
We very much appreciate it.
This podcast.
I mean, I feel like we've said it every other episode.
We touch on it as often as we can.
Yes, this is fun for two friends to sit down and bullshit and you know, just have a good
time and make each other laugh and for the most part, me make Dylan angry.
But it's also great to hear your feedback and know that you guys are also enjoying the
podcast as well.
And that's that's a huge reason as to why we come back and keep doing it every single
episode.
And you're every single week.
I was.
I was.
I'm so.
And that's the thing.
I can't do it yet.
We started and I think George knows this.
The reason we started every two weeks was I didn't want to oversaturate.
I just never wanted to oversaturate anything that we do.
Giving that week off makes people you can't be missed if you don't go away as as as I
say to to some people.
And I don't ever want to be.
Oh, I can skip this one.
No, I want people to want the next episode.
And that's how I feel that our podcast really is turning into where it's that week off while
it sucks for the people that want more content.
Go check out Twitch.
Go check out YouTube.
Go check those things out.
It's really good game.
Because Game Mark is so fun.
God, is it fun?
I just put it over to land again.
I was talking to Landon about it again for real talking to him about it again.
And I'm pretty sure he downloaded some episodes for.
Oh, that's fantastic.
This is the first episode in a long time that we didn't have a landing puzzle running.
He's at his mother because we leave for Disney tomorrow.
He had his mom's and I told me to get up at five thirty and I said, Hey, are you packed?
Look at some stuff put out.
Well, we'll see what happens.
But as Dylan so graciously said, I have another podcast in addition to this one.
It is called the Game Mark's podcast.
We cover a new wrestling video game each and every week.
And our goal is to play them all.
So please make sure to check us out if you're into wrestling or video games or the combination
of both.
You can follow us on all forms of social media at Game Mark's Pod.
Dylan's appeared on a couple episodes.
We have an episode coming out in a couple of weeks that Dylan pops up again.
And it's a good time.
We have fun.
But with that Dylan, that's it.
We've covered all of your impact history.
We set up next week where you're sitting down with Kofi Kingston.
The only thing left to do is for you to do that chef's kiss signature sign off that the
people love whenever you're ready, sir.
I'm going to Disney World.
